The Botanical Garden ( Ogrod Botaniczny)

This amazing garden attracts many people every day, local and tourists combined. It is an oasis of beauty and restfullness, and as I was walking through its paths, it really reminded me of the garden in Eden. It is a big garden wih all kinds of flowers and plants, divided in sectors.

To point out some historical facts, the Botanical Garden was established as a scientific institution of Wroclaw university in 1811. It was a result of systematic research and continual enrichment of species and varieties. You can see how much work has been done over the years just by having a walk inside the garden. The number of the species and varieties is estimated to be 11.500, and it is a breathtaking adventure to discover all of them. A really important thing is that the garden has many extinct species departments, which means they are really rare and you have maybe the only opportunity to find them there!
If you have children, it is a nice opportunity for them to learn things about plants and flowers, but also if you are alone, you have the best chance to explore the nature near you! The garden has also a cafeteria and a plant shop worth visiting. The best part is the lake that is there with the bridges that remind you of different ages, the little fountains and a nice waterfall that makes you stare with awe. There are many places to sit near the lake and read a book or just relax.
The Botanical Garden is highly recommended, and I loved walking to its paths.
